I was born in Oklahoma and moved my way to Texas as fast as I was able via Colorado, Ohio and Indiana (ok, so it was the long way but it was interesting). I got involved with graphic design in Ohio, at the age of 9*, and never looked back. For years, I have been trying to put a stop to renegade bad design and work relentlessly to bring beauty, order and maybe some fun back to its rightful place.
* My passion for creative communication began somewhere around the age of 9 when I was designing logos and billboard ad campaigns for the pretend businesses in the cardboard city my brother and I made for our Matchbox cars. Almost 10 years later, I was helping prepare advertising for the high school newspaper, then on to drawing a cartoon strip for the Texas Tech University newspaper while studying graphic design. Finally, a degree in visual communications from the University of Texas at Arlington launched me into this career that I love.
